I have been teaching Science for 12 years now and the last 11 have been in British International Schools in Mexico and Spain. I have been an IB Diploma examiner for the last 9 years. My specialism is Biology but I currently teach Biology up to IGCSE and KS3 Science. Most of my resources are EAL/ESL focussed as the majority of my pupils do not have English as a mother tongue. I am selling resources for KS3 Science and IGCSE Biology. I continue to upload many resources for free.

0653 Cambridge IGCSE Combined Sciences Revision Guide 2015

(2)
This revision guide is 58 pages long. It is composed of closed questions that cover every point of the 2015 0653 syllabus for all three sciences. Pupils complete the revision guide by answering all the questions which gives them a summary of the whole course in one book. This is an essential revision tool and really helps pupils to structure their revision time and should improve their grades. This is the version for 2015 exams in June and November. 2016 version to follow. The price of this resource is set high because you can make as many copies as you like for the pupils in your classes. This is considerably cheaper than buying the required number of copies of any revision guide book. Please contact me if you notice any mistakes and I will edit the resource and upload a new version. PLEASE NOTE: THIS REVISION GUIDE DOES NOT INCLUDE ANSWERS/SOLUTIONS

This Powerpoint runs through the concept of energy flow in food chains, the role of decomposers and The Carbon Cycle. I have tried to make it as appealing lots of colours, images and animations. Written explanations are as simple as possible as a lot of my pupils are EAL learners. Key vocabulary is highlighted throughout. This PowerPoint is a great start to your lesson/planning. All you have to add is learning objectives and activities to suit your syllabus and class. All images used are credited in the Bibliography of the PowerPoint and those not mentioned are either taken by me or from Office Clipart for Mac/Windows.

KS3 tracking spreadsheets

(2)
These are two spreadsheets I have made for tracking in KS3. One is by unit which allows you to put in NC grades e.g. 4+,4-,3 for various pieces of work in a unit aswell as effort grades (in my school this is 1 to 5). The other one is by criteria where you only put in NC grades for pieces of work for up to 6 criteria. At the end it gives averages for each criteria, the 6th one has a 50% weighting. With either spreadsheet just hide any columns that you don´t need. The golden rules sheet is something I made for the staff who had lass experience with Excel.
