A prepped learning/ homework activity around sexual relationships in preparation for a lesson on sexual relationships (purpose of sex and contraception). Designed for the new spec Eduqas, introduces terms such as promiscuity.

A GCSE Eduqas new spec lesson for the topic Issues of Relationships. The lesson focused on the attitudes to cohabitation and adultery from a Christian persepctive. Opportuties for teacher led discussions, reviewing key teachings and Bible quotes and student led tasks. The final task is a homework task on marriage outside of religious traditions (can be completed in lesson due to time differences).

An opportunity fot students to complete a mid point assessment on the topic Issues of Relationships (new spec Eduqas). Four smaller questions (2 a parts, 2 b parts).

A new spec Eduqas lesson. The first lesson in the topic Issues of Relationships. The lesson focused on the different family types and the importance of the family. There are opportunities for questioning and discussion. The final task is for students to answer a sample b part question as an opportunity for practice and review.

Two lessons dedicated to revision of the topic Issues of Human Rights. A range of activities (student and teacher led) to support students revision prior to the final exams. A lesson focusing on key Hindu beliefs and teachings about the afterlife. Students are taught key information to meet the outcome ‘I can describe Hindu beliefs about the afterlife, so I am able to discuss evidence and make comparisons.’ Studnets encouraged to consider the following questions: What do Hindus believe about life after death? What is meant by the key terms atman, reincarnation and samsara? What is karma? How does it impact on a persons life? Why do Hindus have these beliefs? The lessons main activity is a fun game design to explain key Hindu beliefs about the afterlife. Has been planned for KS3, but would be perfect for KS2 or lower ability KS4.

A lesson that is engaging and fun, exploring the origins of Hinduism and key beliefs. The lesson focuses on the different Hindu Gods/Goddesses, with a particular focus on the Ramayana. The lesson uses a variety of clips to engage and enthuse. Class teachers can choose from a range of activites to direct students learning to meet the single challenging outcome. The lesson has been planned for KS3 but would be great for KS2 or lower ability KS4.

Lesson about the origins of Buddhism and key beliefs. Lots of opportuniteis for questioning - targetted and whole class. Students love the Buddha wordfil and film strip activities. The lessons provided the class teacher with a variety of options for the final activity. Aimed at KS3 but can be taught as an introduction to Buddhism at KS4. Can be tweaked for KS2.

A NEW SPEC Eduqas charities lesson from the topic human rights. This lesson aims to teach students about different religious charities, their importance of giving to charity and why charity is important. There are tasks that explore personal views about charity. Students explore Christian teachings (e.g. Parable of the Sheep and Goats) about charities and examples of Christian charities. The lesson includes an example exam style question for students to complete (using the FARM formula to answer these questions). Differentiation - through the use of the attached worksheet, suitable for lower ability students or students where behaviour may affect learning.

A KS3 Sikhism lesson about the Gurdwara. Can be purshased as part of a bundle. The lesson has a variety of activities that are differentiated for studnets. The main activities provide challenge. There lots of opportunities for discussion. The clip is a True Tube clip. Lesson can be adapted and amended to suit, but can be taught as it is.

This lesson focuses on the physical development in infancy. The lesson explores gross motor development and fine motor development. Activities are varied and many are student led. There is a game to explore the main development, this is a fun to engage studnets and to increase learning. Lessons have challenging elements. Perfect to teach as is, or can be adapted to suit.

BTEC HSC Tech award to be delivered to Y9s. Component 1 - Learning Aim A Human lifespan development. The lesson is the second lesson focusing on the life stages and PIES. The lesson teaches students what the life stages are in detail focusing on the developmental processes. Also students are taught about PIES and what happens in each section in terms of development, using examples. The lesson aims to explore life stages and PIES in more depth. Activities are varied and have challenging elements. Perfect to teach as is, or can be adapted to suit. The final task involves students looking at photos of each area of PIES. I will be using some photos of my son to aid their understanding and enable application to a personal example. However, I haven’t included these photos of the PPT. I have included some generic photos as examples. There is an opportunity for you to use your own photos of search online for generic photos.

GCSE Eduqas new spec. Component 3 Hinduism. Beliefs and Teachings - The Eternal Self. This lesson aims to answer the question ‘what is the eternal self and how do these views differ?’. There are a variety of tasks that focus on the atman, advaita vedanta, dvaita vedenta, samasara, reincarnation and moksha. The lesson is differentiated and students are offered a choice of tasks. Key quotes from the Bhagavad Gita are included. These quotes are recommeneded from the spec. Perfect to use as planned, or can be adapted to suit.

New Spec Eduqas A Level - Theme 1 A Islam - religious figures - development of Islam and the life and teachings of Muhammad This is a series of 3/4 lessons, depending on time and student needs. Can be taught as is, or tweaked to suit. There a range of activities and some use of the Eduqas textbook. These lessons are the first to be taught so are planned to help bridge the gap between GCSE and A level. There is a focus on the key terms and using questioning to check students understanding.

You will need the Eduqas textbooks for this lesson. A new spec Eduqas lesson on prejudice and discrimination exploring what the key terms mean and Christian attitudes to prejudice and discrimination. A range of student and teacher led activites. The lesson can be taught as it is or adapted further.

This is a A Level lesson from the new Eduqas spec. Its from theme 3, part A The concept of a state governed according to Islamic principles and the political and social influence of institutions as a challenge to secularisation. The lesson has a number of teacher led and student led activites. I taught this topic in about 2/3 lessons, but can be adapted to suit your class, their needs, and time constraints.
