Key debates- was Western rebellion a response to political instability? Was Western rebellion a religious rising? Retrieval quizzes on Western rebellion as starters/ plenary. Assessment 30 mark interpretations on causes of Western rebellion. Model answer for above interpretations. Can be further complemented by pages from Fellows Access to History but not essential as there is plenty of factual info included. Very detailed as I’ve been improving this over three years, learning from mistakes as I’ve gone along!

The final lesson on the Impact of the Tyrone Rebellion- depth study for OCR Tudor Rebellions course This lesson has less content than my others so is a bit cheaper but I have included the info booklet. Includes 2 interpretation questions on impact.

Game designed to teach pupils all about life in a medieval village for peasants. Could they survive the Black Death? Failed harvest and famine? The abolishment of Holy Feast days?! This is a fun way to bring to life a topic which can be a little dry. Good for contextual understanding of life in medieval England/ Life of a Peasant Villager.

Complete lesson on Trench Warfare in WWI- designed as an introduction but has a fair amount of depth on why trench warfare was so deadly and difficult. Why did it develop? Why did it cause a war of attrition? Why was the death count so high? Includes full and detailed powerpoint with notes for questioning and exposition for non-specialists, video clips, sources of evidence also a worksheet and diagram- slides can be printed if needed also. This is created to be fully comprehensive suitable for teaching with limited knowledge/ understanding as all info is included for you.

Interpretations of Henry VIII- was he a Tyrant or Renaissance Prince? This lesson is designed for KS3 but is quite challenging so could be used for GCSE. I also have a whole unit of work on the Tudor monarchs for £15 which includes 10 lessons – plenty of high challenge and retrieval. You may want to buy that rather than individual lessons :)
