Edexcel GCSE History Superpower Relations and the Cold War Key Topic 2: Escalating Tensions Lesson 1 examines the second Berlin crisis, causes, events and consequences with detail on the summits which followed to try and de-escalate tensions between the USA and USSR Very detailed information on the powerpoint; no textbook or other resources needed- complete lesson which links to the next lesson; the Berlin Wall. This is my lesson 5 on Congress (Edexcel) and examines the changing role and powers of Congress over time in the USA. Starter quiz and debate colour coding sheet on the debate on whether Congress is more of a WATCHDOG or LAPDOG in oversight of executive branch. Edexcel Politicsc ALevel Paper 1 Feedback Note: This mock exam feedback and modelling is for the 2023 Paper but for Questions 1a/b and 2a/b only as I don’t teach Ideologies. This feedback powerpoint has common mistakes and key content for the exam questions 1a/b and 2a/b including a full modelled paragraph using the PEELE structure with clear evaluation and mini judgments. Also includes a purple pen response sheet with the modelled paragraphs to highlight and then space to write their own / example conclusions. Very detailed!

OCR Tudor Rebellions ALevel (can be used for other specs) This lesson is a detailed study of the Simnel rebellion 1487 It includes all resources needed- for any references to the textbook- all info is actually typed up onto the slides- the references are only if you wish to set independent study using the Mervyn Tudor Rebellions textbook (SHP Hodder) This is not necessary- the powerpoint can be used as a guided resource or slides/ info can be printed for students to work independently. Many of the slides require the animations to reveal the info beneath. Covers all the aspects needed for the Rebellions against Tudors Breadth study/ Thematic for the Lambert Simnel rebellion 1487 vs Henry VII.

OCR Tufdor Rebellions specification for ALevel This lesson (2-3 hours plus hwk) examines the causes, nature, events and impact of the Lady Jane Grey rebellion in 1553 against Mary Tudor. Lots of detailed resources to give you everything you need to teach this rebellion well.

Edexcel GCSE History This lesson examines the ways in which Lanfranc changed the Saxon Church during the Norman conquest and how this enabled William to maintain control. Includes a “go find” activity which can also be used as a carousel with students working on different aspects of the Church. Could also be turned into an investigative commission where Lanfranc sends investigating Norman Archdeacons to report on wrong doings in the Church then writes a report.
