AQA (9-1) GCSE History - Health and the People - Lesson 13 (Role of Hospitals)
In this lesson, students use information from the AQA textbook to complete a grid where they compare hospitals in the Middle Ages with 18th/19th century. After this, there are 2 clips to watch (as recommended by AQA) to look at John Hunter and Florence Nightingale. Students complete the 'Key Individual' Sheet whilst watching this.
A series of exam questions for students to practice exam skills taken from AQA and from the AQA Textbook. I have colour coded these into Part 1, 2, 3 and 4 so that teachers can easily pick questions dependent on how far into teaching the course you are.

A very short power point. Students use this lesson to independently research the Black Death. Access to computers/laptops essential.

Lesson 12 for the new AQA GCSE History - Health and the People. Looking at Quack Doctors (through source analysis) and then looking at treatments to the 1665 Great Plague when compared to the 1348 Black Death. All sources are included in the Powerpoint or on worksheets.
