This is a 10-15 minute presentation about prescription drugs. It covers definitions, types, uses, symptoms and the importance of knowing about them. It links to the new RSE & Health Curriculum for Secondary Schools and can be used for KS3, KS4 or KS5 (Ages 11-18 Year 7-13). It contains downloaded videos, discussion activities, sources of support for pupils and a quiz and reflection question as a plenary. It could easily be lengthened for a whole PSHE lesson if required.
This session is a 10-15 minute PSHE session that can be used as an assembly or as a tutor time whole school pastoral focus. It outlines definitions, issues that arise and how stem cells are donated. This has two downloaded short videos and partly focuses on the issue of saviour siblings. It includes discussion activities, information and a plenary quiz. There are no written activities but this can be easily lengthened for a whole PSHE lesson. This is suitable for KS3 - KS5 students (Years 7-13, Ages 11) and links to the new RSE and Health Curriculum.
This powerpoint is a narrated 10-15 minute session introducing the new cabinet which Boris revealed on 15th September 2021. It explains what a cabinet is, what a reshuffle is for and outlines who changed their roles or got promoted or sacked. It has a slide connecting it to British Values, a reflection slide and some discussion questions. It finishes with a quiz and links for further study and news stories. There is a downloaded short video clip showing the new cabinet to the students. This was originally delivered to Years 7-13 (KS3-KS5, Ages 11-18) in tutor time as a short introduction to the new Cabinet and to fit with the Citizenship curriculum and informing them on recent news connects to the PSHE syllabus. There are no written activities in this session but it could easily be lengthened to a whole lesson if needed. You can also remove the narration if you would prefer to do it yourself or leave it unnarrated for staff to deliver.
This is a 10-15 minute tutor time session for PSHE which covers the definitions and an introduction to Prevent, Extremism, Radicalisation and Terrorism. It was originally for a Year 7 PSHE session for tutor time but is suitable for all of KS3 and KS4 and can be used as an introduction lesson to my other Extremism assembly resource which goes into more detail. This resource has two downloaded video clips so they will never disappear and contains discussion activities and no written activities. This is a great introduction to the terms used in PSHE or Citizenship for Extremism.

It talks about Sadio Mane as a role model for facing challenges and explores the best way for students to face challenges in their lives. This is a 15 minute assembly or tutor time PSHE session about privilege in society. This was originally a tutor time session for PSHE but the extension tasks and videos can be used to make a whole lesson for Citizenship or PSHE. It covers which groups in UK society are privileged, two downloaded video clips that will never disappear, definitions and ways to not let privilege define our lives. It also includes two extension downloaded video clips that could be used to make it long enough for a whole lesson. This fits in with the new RSHE and PSHE curriculum and was very successful when used at school. It is suitable for KS3, KS4 & KS5, Ages 11-18, Years 7-13.
This is a 15 minute assembly, tutor time session or PSHE session for KS4 and KS5 (Ages 14-18, Years 10-13) about the rights and responsibilities we have in the workplace. It contains discussion activities and information about how to treat people and how to be safe as well as the importance of both of these. It has three short downloaded video clips so they will never disappear and is a suitable introduction to the rights and responsibilities we have in the workplace. This fits in with the new RSHE curriculum, Gatsby Careers Benchmarks and the PSHE curriculum. It can easily be lengthened to last a whole lesson if needed.
This is a 10-20 minute assembly on Storm Arwen and the devastation it has caused throughout the UK. It was originally used for a whole school tutor time Citizenship session at the start of December 2021 to explore the issues it raises. It is suitable for KS3, KS4 & KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) and includes:

This session contributes to ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ and the new Relationships & Sexual Education and Health Education. It also highlights Safeguarding, British values and can be used as part of the PSHE curriculum. It can easily be adapted if needed but covers all the necessary guidance. Pupils have responded very well to this presentation in the past and I have updated it for this year.

It is suitable for all year groups from Year 6 - Year 13 (KS2, KS3, KS4, KS5, Ages 10-18) and can be used for an assembly, tutor time session, whole school, PSHE or Citizenship session. This is a 15 minute presentation about blood donation to encourage students to think about donating when they are older and the current need for blood in the NHS. It covers statistics, quotes from donors and their recipients as well as reasons why blood donation is important. It has two short video clips that engage the students well in learning about this important health issue and are downloaded so they will never disappear! There are discussion questions but no written tasks as this is meant for a quick overview in tutor time or similar. It can be shortened or lengthened according to the length of the session. This covers the new RSE and Health Curriculum statutory guidance and can be used in PSHE or Citizenship lessons as well. This is suitable for KS3, KS4, KS5 and possibly KS2. Ages 9-18.
