This is a 15-20 minute assembly about positive language. It covers the important topic of being positive, watching what language we use to communicate to others and using positive language online. It was used as an assembly for KS3, KS4 & KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, Grades 6-12).

This is a 15 minute presentation about blood donation to encourage students to think about donating when they are older and the current need for blood in the NHS. It covers statistics, quotes from donors and their recipients as well as reasons why blood donation is important. It has two short video clips that engage the students well in learning about this important health issue and are downloaded so they will never disappear! There are discussion questions but no written tasks as this is meant for a quick overview in tutor time or similar. It can be shortened or lengthened according to the length of the session. This covers the new RSE and Health Curriculum statutory guidance and can be used in PSHE or Citizenship lessons as well. This is suitable for KS3, KS4, KS5 and possibly KS2. Ages 9-18.
This is a full lesson on an introduction to Hinduism covering their beliefs in god, festivals, beliefs, symbols, temple, worship etc. It includes a couple of short video clips and some discussion and written questions for students to complete. It has some extension tasks and is suitable for use in the classroom with no photocopying required. It is suitable for KS2, KS3 and KS4 (Ages 11-18) and takes an introductory look at one of the world’s most popular religions.
This is a 60 minute lesson on religious symbols which goes through each of the major 6 religious symbols for pupils to explore, copy down, colour and learn about. This is a 60-90 minute lesson introducing Christianity. It explores the central beliefs and teachings, practices and symbols of this religion. It can be used for KS3 or KS4 (Aged 11-16) to give students a better understanding of the religion. It includes video clips, discussion tasks, written tasks and a quiz to check learning. It is simple to edit if you require a shorter or longer lesson.
This is a PowerPoint with different moral questions to make students think. For example, “if you borrow a million pounds are you a millionaire?”, “Can you get lost if you don’t know where you are going.” These are great discussion questions for assemblies, debates or citizenship/PSHE/SMSC provision. They will improve communication skills in tutor time sessions or as starters to lessons. They are appropriate for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (11-18 years old).

This was originally a 60 minute Year 10 lesson to introduce the world of work and preparing for job interviews. It covers body language, dress, how to give a good impression at an interview, body language and some suggested careers. There is a worksheet to accompany it with this lesson but it can be used without it. This lesson is suitable for older KS3-KS4 pupils (13-18 years old) and as part of their PSHE, Careers or Work Experience session in a tutor time. It can be easily shortened or lengthened and has worked well with my students.
This is a 10-15 minute assembly for Remembrance Day suitable for all year groups from Year 5 - Year 13 (KS2, KS3, KS4, KS5, Ages 9-18) and can be used for an assembly, tutor time session, whole school, PSHE or Citizenship session. It can easily be lengthened by changing the discussion activities to written ones for it to last a whole lesson. There are two short youtube clips downloaded so they will never disappear. It is narrated but you can delete this by clicking on the icon and pressing delete. It covers what remembrance day is, why it is observed, why people wear poppies and why we have a two minute silence. It also shows the connection with a slide on Fundamental British Values, the UN Rights of a Child and a point of Reflection. This is a 10-15 minute tutor time resource about COP26. It could be used for an assembly or PSHE/Citizenship session. It explains what COP26 is, what climate change is and gives some more information about why it is called COP etc. There are many discussion tasks and these could be written tasks if you wanted to lengthen it to a whole lesson.
