This is the eighth lesson in a series created for the A Level unit Democracy and Dictatorship in Germany. It investigates the long; medium and short term causes of the Great Inflation of 1923. Students are required to start linking and evaluating causes to reach supported conclusions. Ideally this lesson should be taught in conjunction with the Access to History, Democracies and Dictatorships in Germany, but other text books could be used to support it.

This display/activity can be put on a wall and when pupils have completed their work they can try the challenges. Good for transition time, Useful for corridor display too - my students try to work out the answers while they are waiting to come into the lesson There are 4 challenges: Odd one out Heads and Tails Who am I? Which era? The display is colourful and can be changed keeping the same lettering. The challenges span a range of historical events/people/periods etc and can be recreated many times.
