Your students will learn how to … understand texts which talk about the generation gap use key vocabulary relating to this topic use más … que, menos … que and tanto/a/os/as … como use hace + a time to express ‘ago’ use hay and había accurately use en vez de + infinitive with debo, debería, quiero and prefiero translate texts about this topic into and from Spanish I have included a speaking task to do in pairs to practise ‘en vez de … debería …’ and there is a crossword puzzle, with clues in Spanish, which is great for reading comprehension. As well as being suitable for GCSE students, I think this resource could also be used as an introduction to the topic of family relations at A Level. I have included a ppt. with answers to most of the exercises on practice sheets 1-5 so that teachers can discuss and explain grammar points, sentence structure etc. with students.
