The Preterite Tense in Spanish

(24)
Tried and tested exercises to give your students loads of practice using the preterite tense of regular AR, ER and IR verbs in Spanish. In addition, practise the irregular verb IR and a range of common time expressions. Finally, put your knowledge to the test to see if you can distinguish between Past, Present and Future tenses. There is an answer sheet so that students can mark their own work. Written by the author of Heinemann’s Mira express 1 and 2 Resources and Assessment Grammar Sheets. Thanks for taking a look at my other resources in wylamuk’s shop.

The Subjunctive with Impersonal Expressions and Querer que

The Subjunctive with Impersonal Expressions and Querer que

(4)
6 worksheets to practise impersonal expressions which take the subjunctive or the indicative mood. I have included paradyms of AR, ER and IR verbs, including radical changing and reflexive in the present subjunctive. Some common irregular verbs like 'ser', 'estar', 'ir', 'tener', 'hacer' and 'decir' also make an appearance. The exercises are differentiated well and should help your students understand how to form the present subjunctive and when/when not to use it with impersonal expressions and 'querer que'. I think this resource is more suited to G.C.S.E. students because of the vocabulary used in the examples. However, you could adapt the language to match A Level topics. If you like this resource, please have a look at my other work in wylamuk's shop. I mostly write resources in French and Spanish to go with current coursebooks - Studio and Mira. I am currently writing G.C.S.E. and A Level resources to help teach the new syllabus. Written by the author of Heinemann's Mira express 1 and 2, Resources and Assessment - Grammar Sheets.

1 ppt. to help you introduce the key adjectives, qualifiers and opinions to your students and 1 'shared' ppt. for your students to consolidate their learning at their own pace. The worksheets will provide lots of practice using opinions, adjectives and qualifiers with 'c'était' and 'ce n'était pas'. There are vocabulary learning strategies, gap fill exercises, a speaking task sheet and translation both ways. There is a deliberate repetition of the key vocabulary and verbs and the exercises are differentiated, gradually increasing in difficulty. There is a vocabulary grid to support your students' work. Mon Style; Studio 2, Rouge, Module 3, pp.54, 55

8 differentiated worksheets which provide a series of tasks based on Module 3, Unit 4 of Studio 2 Rouge plus 1 answer sheet on ppt. The tasks vary in difficulty but have been written to help students acquire key vocabulary and verbs through repetition and writing from memory. Students will be able to say what they usually wear in the week and at weekends and use adjectives of colour with precision. Using the near future tense, they will be able to say what they are going to wear and what they are going to do. The full paradigm of the verbs ‘porter’ and ‘aller’ in the present tense are practised and there are opportunities to speak, translate both ways and write free style. One answer sheet allows students to check and mark their own work. 2 power points to help introduce the definite/indefinite article and forming plurals to your students. This resource has been designed with attention to detail and is at least as nicely presented as any you might buy from a respectable publisher. Please don't be put off by the preview image which, at times, may look distorted. This is not the case as the actual resource looks professional in appearance when downloaded.
