Why was Ireland a major cause of rebellion under Elizabeth I?
This lesson looks at Irish rebellions under Elizabeth I. This includes:

To what extent were the causes of Irish rebellion similar to those in England in the period 1485-1603? (25 marks)
‘Irish rebellions were a greater threat to Tudor governments than those in England.’ How far do you agree? (25 marks)
The second question also includes examplar answers from the 2017 exam ranging from E-A*! Samples are provided from introduction, main paragraphs and conclusions and students will grade these using the mark scheme.
