Their task is to fill in the jigsaw piece with things that represent their identity. Think of it as a Coat of Arms: which is a symbolic representation of an individual’s identity and values. They can add things in such as their hobbies, family, friends, pets, favourite books, TV shows, football teams or future goals.

An English Reading Comprehension Activity. This resource gives the learner an overview of the inspirational Media TV Personality Caitlyn Jenner. Learners will be asked to answer 6 skimming and scanning questions based on the document. They will also be asked to look up 4 key words from the document. Answers are provided so that learners can self mark.

This is a twenty-four paged booklet that I designed for adult learners who were completing a Level 1 City and Guilds Employability/ Personal Social Skills Course. This booklet is for the ‘Equality and Diversity’ module. All the questions meet the qualification criteria. As a tutor you can either go through the booklet page by page, using it as the base for your lesson plan or give the learners the book as a research project. A fun game! When the Teacher says “Go,” the learners fill in the blanks with words that begin with the same letter. When they have finished they will shout “Pride!” Each answer is worth one point!

Learners with ask their partner to finish each word / phrase on their own game-sheet. They will predict what they will write and if their answers are the same, then they score points!

2X Pride themed word searches.

Pride month themed Taboo game. The objective of the game is for students to have their team member guess the word that is on the board behind them. They can’t say the word itself and in some circumstances, other words that are listed in relation to this word. Complete with instructions on how to play the game as a class and 35 separate Taboo slides. Slides contain LGBT celebrities, terms and other things associated with Pride.

Pride Month Page Borders. These rainbow borders could be used for Pride month to encourage independent writing activities and drawing activities. They come in seven different designs (14 pages) in both blank and writing form.

Instructions: Guess the famous LGBTQ+ person. Each player will take a card and act out the named person with verbal clues or through imitation. This resource is double sided, with the Pride flag on the reverse side of the cards. There are eight cards per sheet that include different LGBTQ+ celebritie’s names. There are also two blank sheets where you can add additional names into the game.

iNSTRUCTIONS: Divide players into teams. Each team has sixty seconds to memorise all of the items in the box below. Players are not permitted to take a photo of the game sheet or to write any of the objects down on paper at this stage of the game. After the allocated time is up, the players will be asked to turn over their game sheets. They will then have three minutes to write down, from memory, every item that appears in the box below. The team who can memorise the most items, wins!
