The majority of the initial T level providers will require students to have obtained a grade 4 in their English and maths at GCSE, a Tes investigation has revealed today.

Tes contacted all 50 providers that will be offering T levels from 2020. Of the 36 that responded, 26 said that students will need to have a grade 4 and above in English and maths. Four said they will require grade 5 and above, while three providers will accept grade 3s. Two had not finalised their requirements and one said that there were no requirements set.
