In this Unit, pupils will gain awareness of some Countries where Spanish is spoken around the world, learn how to greet Spanish Speaking people, introduce themselves and say where they live. Pupils will also learn about adjectives of Nationality and gain awareness of the linguistic pattern of Masculine and Feminine adjectival forms. The Unit comprises of interactive activities for Listening, Reading and Writing and includes printable vocabulary lists and Oral worksheets. Each section is accompanied by teachers’ notes with suggestions on how to use each resource.

In this unit you will find out about the stages involved in business start up, including the different types of ownership, legal implications, business objectives and stakeholders. You will develop basic knowledge of marketing, human resources; physical resources and costing a business start up. You will also learn about the importance of monitoring the quality of goods and services. You will also gain skills on financial planning, including start up costs, running costs, cash flow forecasting, break-even, profit and loss, balance sheets, budgeting and variance analysis.

An online resource to help with revision for spelling common words relevant to Office Technology at Levels 1 and 2. Covering levels 1 and 2, this resource allows a student to see, say, hear, cover, spell and check words from the essentials words list for the examination. The words are from the City and Guilds English for Office Skills examination Students can select the number of words they wish to try and spell from the Level 1 and Level 2 lists and print out their results for inclusion in portfolios etc.

Following this slide show the student should be aware: That crime statistics are a social construction. That the official crime rate rose steadily for the past 100 years and peaked in mid-1990s. That the official rate significantly underestimates the real rate of crime. That victim and self-report studies show that there is significant under-reporting and under-recording of crime. A fear of crime is disproportionate to the likelihood of being a victim of crime.

A PowerPoint discussion of issues surrounding Divorce by David Bown. Having viewed this slide show the student should be aware: That during the last century, the divorce rate increased dramatically. That the divorce rate refers to the number of divorces per thousand married couples. That divorce peaked in1993 at 180,000 per annum. Currently, one in every two new marriages ends in divorce (51.5%). That many couples separate without divorcing. That large numbers of empty shell marriages exist. That high divorce rates are a global phenomenon.
