PRIVATE PEACFUL - STRUCTURE LESSON

This lesson has been taken from the full KS3 scheme available on my shop: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resources/shop/YLitYLang The lesson explores the chapter 'Five to Five' and asks students to study the structure. This is a key skill for the new AQA Paper 1 Language (Q3) and therefore is challenging for pupils. The PPT is the full lesson.

History of Language: Non - Verbal Communication

This PowerPoint acts as a lesson plan for a lesson on non-verbal communication. Work through the first few slides asking pupils about the significance of signs and symbols. Use the activity cards and pupils should act out actions. Develop by doing a thought shower on slang words and text speech and finish by setting homework to write a text to the class teacher.

Lesson Starter - Developing questions

I use this frame as a lesson starter and place an image in the middle relating to the lesson topic. This can be used to develop students questioning techniques or to 'hook' students as they enter a lesson. Can be used for any subject.

Poetic Device Match-Up Game

This activity allows pupils to have either a device or a definition of a technique. The students have to interact with one another to decipher who their partner will be. Good starter activity.
