Looks at the location of different biomes, different characteristics and then the students can design their own animal they think is suitable for these locations.
Uses of the Tropical Rainforest
Looks at different uses of the tropical rainforest. Resources are also attached. Several different activities including argumentative pieces, plenary etc. Differentiated tasks for all abilities and further tasks. Gets them to look at whether they think the uses are positive or negative.

Looking at demographic data in geography, differences between different levels of development.
Urban Issues Traffic
Looking at the urban issue of traffic, both in AQA and Edexcel specifications and KS3. Looks at the different problems and solutions as well as causes. Homework also available that covers traffic and a couple of different urban problems.
UK physical Landscape Scheme of Work

Issues with Urbanisation in LIC's / LEDC's / developing country
Briefly looks at what a developed and developing country is. Then the impacts of aid. Main task looks at the favelas in Brazil and the positive and negative implications of this. Use of videos (online) and other resources that are provided. Work and tasks are differentiated so students can attempt different levels.
Sustainable Cities
What sustainable cities are and the students design their own sustainable cities taking examples from the resources. Good for use over two lessons if you want to add more detail.
Hurricanes
Starter- What am I.
Main activity- students making factfles about hurricanes. They can use textbooks, internet etc but the information is not included. However, there is a full sheet with tasks that must be included and detail given on how to do this.
London regeneration
Looks at both stratford regeneration for the Olympic games and the London Docklands regeneration and then using them as comparisons.
Global Warming
An introduction to global warming. Brief introduction and then students circulate doing different activities. There are 7 activities to complete and all resources are attached. Takes 1-2 lessons.

Looking at the Kobe earthquake as the example, this looks at the different effects that earthquakes can have.
Birmingham Regeneration
Regeneration of Birmingham, creating posters using the information provided. Last task is an exam question where they can work in groups and then switch around the get best possible answer.

What is an urban world?
Requires use of the GCSE geography AQA oxford textbook.
This resource looks at introducing the urban world for the AQA specification. Includes a breakdown for an exam question (3 marker) and includes differentiated tasks as well as challenge tasks.
Coasts revision
They have to collect information (all resources are on the powerpoint) about concordant and discordant coastlines, types of rock (hard and soft), types of wave, erosional features.
Works as also a revision of the topic of coasts and includes exam questions with ideas of how to answer it. Work as groups to complete the question.
