GCSE HISTORY WEIMAR AND NAZI GERMANY REVISION NOTES FOR LOWER AND MIDDLE PRIOR ATTAINING STUDENTS

This resource contains a cloze activity at the beginning to help lower and middle attaining students place key people and events. It then contains a summary of all of the key topics under sub-headings which has been designed to support the revision of students who are unable retain a huge amount of content. It is therefore summarised in bitesize chunks to ensure that AO1 and AO2 are secure for the examination.

RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE IS BULLET POINTED; REVISION ACTIVITIES ARE GEARED TOWARDS THE EXAMINATION WITH CRITERION EXPLAINED. I MADE THIS TO RE-TEACH THIS UNIT QUICKLY ABOUT 8 WEEKS BEFORE THE EXAMINATION. IT CONTAINS ABOUT 6/7 HOURS WORTH OF LESSONS PLUS HOMEWORKS. KEY TOPICS 2 AND 3 ALSO AVAILABLE.

Super Power Relations Consequence Revision Cards for Low and Middle PA and exam question practice

I made these card for students at GCSE who really struggle with the volume of knowledge required. Using them I found that students who fell below the level 4 threshold made much better progress in the 2019 examination series (Edexcel). The cards address 36 Cold War events, and students learn the events by linking two consequences to the event. The events are in red; the consequence in blue; and an extension green card for those students who are able to attain level 5+ with sensible revision. They can also learn the story of the Cold War by sequencing the cards chronologically. I used the cards for paired activities; home revision and starter activities. Just cut out and laminate.
