Along with a grammatical explanation covering all tenses, there are slides for oral practice (Tic Tac Toe), translation sentences and an exercise to change a text in the passive into an active text using ‘man’.

It is a revision lesson for GCSE and covers verb as 2nd idea, TMP and subordinating + co-ordinating conjunctions. There are many grammatical exercises and the last slide has a passage of German where students have correct the word order for the words in red.

Along with grammatical explanations there is a gap-fill exercise, a slide for Kim’s game, one for re-writing a present-tense text in the imperfect and a tense mapping exercise for completion with the aid of verb tables.

In addition, each lesson attempts to extend the use of German to match the requirements of GCSE Higher Tier. This presentation gives a thorough explanation of adjective endings. Starting with clothing and colours, it practices endings for the indefinite article in the Accusative case via Tic Tac Toe before moving on to cover the three tables of endings and also what happens after ‘etwas’ and ‘nichts’. The last slide is a challenging exercise where ANY appropriate adjective with correct ending should be inserted before each noun in the text.
