An interactive markbook with sheets to track behaviour, attendance and mark for year 7 (although the resource could be easily adapted to suit other year groups). The mark sheet allows for 3 assessments to be averaged using a weighted mean then levelled via percentage to a National Curriculum level. The markbook also contains a timer and a hyperlinked FrontPage to resources. PLEASE NOTE: You will need to have the ‘Analysis toolpak’ and ‘VBA analysis toolpak’ installed in order to run these sheets correctly.

The presentation is designed to be used primarily with upper key stage 2 children but may be adapted as appropriate. It is intended that the package be used over a series of lessons, with a number of mathematical problems having to be solved at strategic points. This unit is made up of three mini interactive activities focusing on the properties of 3D shapes. The first activity is based on Euler’s theory. The pupils need to find a rule that links the faces, edges and vertices together. The interactive activity allows them to manipulate the shapes on screen to count the faces, edges and vertices. The second activity has them using their knowledge of the properties of 3D shapes to form a polyhedral chain. The third activity allows the pupils to investigate which edges will meet when a net folds to form a 3D shape. There is also a starter and plenary.

This unit helps pupils to understand that at each stage in the food chain energy is lost in waste materials, in repair and maintenance of cells and as heat during respiration. The activities include interpreting the effects of eating from different trophic levels in a food chain and comparisons of vegetarian and meat diets and eating from different trophic levels.

Here we have 4 Class Ensembles based on simple African cyclical patterns using call and response, improvised tunes and ostinato using the pentatonic scale of G (G A B D E). They are all available in Scorch, PDF and Power Point format to perform, there is a detailed document with a step by step guide explaining how to teach the ensembles and also a Power Point presentation with a series of warm up games with sound files. We’ve based the series on rhythms linked to fun words relating to Africa. They progress in difficulty – the easiest ensemble being number 1.
