Interactive resource. The activities cover every area of the maths curriculum and are graded according to difficulty. Each activity can be used front of class or independently by pupils at a computer. A record page is available with each activity allowing for a maths journal to be built up across the resource.

There are 4 parts which look at : Beginnings : What should be included at the start of a legend, setting the scene, looking at words and phrases to describe it. Characters: Looking at the words and phrases to describe an extraordinary character and what features pupils can reproduce for their own character. Problems and Resolutions: Looking at the problems that could be encountered, and how, in an exciting way, these can be resolved.

Expressing opinions about different aspects of school.

A series of 20 lessons on the topic of SCHOOL. The lessons range from KS3 to AS Level with the common thread of topic area. Vocabulary and grammar teaching opportunities are exploited as well as giving information. Some lessons are suited to direct whole class teaching, some are to act as a springboard for talk within the classroom and others are directly related to examination requirements. The GCSE and AS lessons relate specifically to the WJEC syllabus but are suited to most examination stipulations.

A series of five lessons dealing with migration and incorporating thinking skills activities. The resource can be used as a series of lessons or as stand alone units as all lessons have their own individual focus and follow a similar structure including starter activity, main activity and a plenary.
