G.C.S.E. French - Theme 2 - Poverty and homelessness - Volunteering

(0)
This resource comprises 3 worksheets and 3 powerpoints and is ideal for students of low ability. Based on the G. C.S.E. topic of poverty and homelessness - volunteering, it could be described as a self-contained resource which assumes very little previous knowledge of the language. 20 items of key vocabulary are practised repeatedly via a range of reading, writing and speaking tasks. This ‘less is more’, repetitive approach is particularly suitable for lower ability students who find it difficult to learn and retain key language. The ppts. provide all the tasks included in the worksheets, making it easier to present the language to your students and reinforce pronunciation. They also provide all the answers to each task so that self / peer marking is possible. Thanks for looking.

This ‘less is more’, repetitive approach is particularly suitable for lower ability students who find it difficult to learn and retain key language. The powerpoint provides all the tasks included in the worksheet (plus 1 extra task), making it easier to present the language to your students and reinforce pronunciation. The Subjunctive with Impersonal Expressions and 'Querer que'

(2)
6 worksheets to practise impersonal expressions which take the subjunctive or the indicative mood. I have included paradyms of AR, ER and IR verbs, including radical changing and reflexive verbs in the present subjunctive. Some common irregular verbs like 'ser', 'estar', 'ir', 'tener', 'hacer' and 'decir' also make an appearance. The exercises are differentiated well and should help your students understand how to form the present subjunctive and when/when not to use it with impersonal expressions. The worksheets also provide practice using 'querer que' to form indirect ocmmands. If you like this resource, please have a look at my other work in wylamuk's shop. AQA 1.1 - Relationships with family - the generation gap

(0)
This is a well differentiated, worksheet based resource comprising 7 worksheets and 2 ppts which have the answers to the worksheet exercises. It is based on pp.20 and 21 of AQA Spanish, Oxford University Press, Relaciones con la familia. Your students will learn how to … understand texts which talk about the generation gap use key vocabulary relating to this topic use más … que, menos … que and tanto/a/os/as … como use hace + a time to express ‘ago’ use hay and había accurately use en vez de + infinitive with debo, debería, quiero and prefiero translate texts about this topic into and from Spanish I have included a speaking task to do in pairs to practise ‘en vez de … debería …’ and there is a crossword puzzle, with clues in Spanish, which is great for reading comprehension. As well as being suitable for GCSE students, I think this resource could also be used as an introduction to the topic of family relations at A Level. I have included a ppt. with answers to most of the exercises on practice sheets 1-5 so that teachers can discuss and explain grammar points, sentence structure etc. with students. The worksheets have been meticulously designed and are at least as nicely presented as any resource you might buy from a respectable publisher. Please don’t be put off by the preview image which at times looks distorted (due, I think, to the inclusion of tables/grids); the actual resource looks so much nicer when downloaded.
