Scheme of Work for non-fiction English Language This is a 20-page document containing fifteen lesson plans for guiding UK students through test prep for a writing exam. Although it has no direct US use, it is full of usable ideas that can be adapted to US use in other contexts.
In this unit students will build upon skills they have used throughout the year relating to reading and speaking and listening. This unit is predominantly focused on reading and students will have the opportunity to explore the themes and characters presented in a text, analysing the authors craft in more detail. The assessment at the end of the unit will focus on AFs 2-6 and throughout the unit reading skills such as summarising and reading for meaning will be built upon.
