The contrasting effects of hurricanes in the Caribbean are investigated using a variety of resources including numerical data, photos, aerial images, newspaper articles, interactive ICT, animations and posters. Activities include: describing impacts; evaluating strategies; contrasting effects on New Orleans, USA, MEDC and Guatemala, LEDC.

This interactive resource pack teaches pupils how to create a scatter diagram. It is split into sections taking pupils through the process step by step allowing them to interact with the resource before showing them the answers. Pupils can plot the data and draw the line of best fit then use the graph to estimate particular values. Section 2 allows the pupils to build on this work by drawing and comparing graphs to answer questions.

This is a series of interactive appraising activities available to use with Area of Study 2; Music Structure (WJEC) or general appraising. The activities have been divided into eight activities. This resource has been designed primarily to encourage discussion / group work. However, extension tasks can be undertaken so that pupils can record their answers. Blank work sheets have been prepared and are included for this purpose. They are available in WORD format so that teachers can adapt the work sheets as required.

The instrumentation is very flexible in most of the ensembles, and you can adapt for your own purpose by changing the instrumental combination. Even in vocal parts 'Guantanamera', the parts can be changed / adapted to instruments.

A series of interactive digital and paper based resources supporting the teaching of Crime and Deviance. The units deal with the nature and definition of crime and deviance and lead to an open debate as to the nature of social control in our society. The third unit explores labelling theories of criminal behaviour and the final unit encourages learners to think about the value and accuracy of official statistics on crime by exploring the reasons people have for reporting and not reporting crime to the police.
