Whiteboard resource looking at scripts and performance. Based on the story of Frankenstein. Pupils use an interactive theatre to create their own playscript and play. It links with the key stage 2 attainment target 1 structure - oracy. The main links are English AT1: participate in a wide range of drama activities including role play, improvisation and the writing and performance of scripted drama.

Teaches children the names of colours through a story. The teacher reads through a story about Cerys the cat, who is trying to buy a hat to match her red coat. She tries on blue, green and yellow hats before finding a red one. Pupils have the opportunity to interact with the story by saying if they think each hat matches the coat. They then sequence the beginning, middle and end of the story by putting pictures in the right order. Pupils test their colour-matching skills by dressing Cerys in matching coats and hats.

The first activity shows a completed hand puppet that teachers can discuss and disassemble on the whiteboard and then reassemble with input from the pupils. The second activity involves a virtual needle game where teachers or pupils have to sew online! The second screen allows pupils to create patterns using the stitching technique and choose different coloured threads. When using the resources teachers should introduce and discuss the following words and concepts: template, fabric, sewing, needle, running stitch, puppet, seam, stitch and thread.

Urbanisation in Wales as a result of industrial developments in the 19th and 20th centuries. This resource is intended to introduce students to the concept of urbanisation in Wales as a result of significant industrial advances in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Based on data from national census records, students are shown the population figures for 10 of the largest towns in Wales as recorded in 1801, 1841, 1881 and 1921. An interactive map of Wales, showing the locations of the 10 largest towns, accompanies each set of statistics.

This interactive resource supports the teaching of appraising by concentrating on one of the 8 elements of music - texture. The resource explains that texture is built up in layers. A variety of audio examples are provided to illustrate differences in texture. Pupils are given the opportunity to arrange a piece, selecting and deselecting layers to alter the texture and see how the piece builds. Pupils are also given the opportunity to compose their own piece using layers to build texture.
